Zombies: Call of the Dead
This is no doubt the hardest, "Zombies" installment since World at War's "Verruckt". The epic and comical intro to "Call of the Dead" is almost reason enough to play it. The mission itself, however, is legendary. The most important rule of Call of the Dead: Don't attack George. You know, the tall guy with white hair and pony-tail carrying a spotlight around. Should you accidentally hit him, he will roar and chase after you. To survive, run into the lake with him chasing you. This will slow him down. Don't stay in the lake for long, or you'll freeze to death. The second most important rule of Call of the Dead and most imporant rule of Zombies in general: Watch your back. In Call of the Dead, zombies can come from anywhere, from the roof, from the ground, and from, of course, the barriers. There are 2 main strategies for Call of the Dead: Run around killing the zombies, or camping. Running around killing zombies: Save up alot of points. Get your hands on either a submachine gun or a shotgun, and have a powerful gun in your other weapon slot. Make sure you still have alot of points. Now, run around, opening doors and killing/wounding the zombies. In the event that you get cornered with nowhere to go, quickly switch to your powerful weapon and blast your way through. Camping: In Call of the Dead, there are 2 great spots to camp. 1: The top of the ship, near the zipline. This camping place is easiest with at least 2 people. Go next to the zipline. If you have opened the door that leads into the small room with the power box, have your friend watch it or without a friend put yourself in a position that you can see parts of both the small room and the zombies advancing in the front. If the mob becomes too big for you to handle, jump down the zipline. Be careful though, because zombies and George can also go on the zipline. 2: The small island in the middle of the lake, near the starting position. This position is great because it slows down the zombies and makes them easier to kill when they are in the ice-cold water. If the mob becomes bigger than you can handle, try to blast your way through the weaker side. Depending on which side you run out on, run into the ship or the lighthouse. I rate Call of the Dead a 5/5.
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Throughout the years, Call of Duty, through its great gameplay sequences, both on campaign and on multiplayer, has been viewed as one of the greatest game series' of all time. Now with its new installment, Call of Duty: Black Ops, it is thriving again. Released to the public in late 2010, this Cold War videogame is packed with epic campaign missions, awe-inspiring multiplayer maps, and the return of, "Nazi Zombies". Aside from the great graphics and combat sequences, the campaign includes a plot that will keep you guessing until the second-to-last mission, called "Revalations" and, in the final level, a helicopter attack, an epic ground aussalt, and one awesome hand-to-hand combat battle. I would give this game a 5/5 rating. Although the game is very bloody, 90% of the blood and 45% of the language can be turned off using the, "Graphic Content" setting in the options menu.
